Emerald Bay Golf Club Selects Turf Solutions Group for Golf Renovation Project

When Turf Solutions Group bid on Texas’ Emerald Bay Club greens renovation they went up against other nationally-known golf construction companies. Now that Phase I of the greens renovation is nearly complete, Emerald Bay Club is happy that they chose Turf Solutions Group (TSG) to conduct their greens renovation. Bob Breedlove, an Emerald Bay Member and Vice President of the Emerald Bay Board of Directors, said, “We couldn’t be happier with Turf Solutions Group. A greens renovation is never an easy undertaking for a golf course, but that is particularly true for a private club serving a membership made up of residents of a residential community. When Emerald Bay determined it was time to bring their greens up to United States Golf Association (USGA) Specifications, it first had to convince their older members.
“When we announced that we intended to renovate the greens, there was quite a bit of resistance initially from the membership,” explained Bob Breedlove. “But when they saw the quality of TSGs work and the minimal disturbance, the members started getting anxious to play.”
The greens renovation on the first nine holes is complete, and members will be playing on them soon. After the first nine holes are ready to open, play will then switch to the first nine holes, while TSG renovates the second half of the course.
